Insect-proof line for children

Specialist performance childrenswear brand Roonwear is to launch a new line for spring 2009 with insect repellent functionality woven into the fibres from which the garments are made.
The clothes will be made from Dri-release, a patented blend of synthetic and natural fibres produced by Optimer and will have Insect Shield’s Repellent Technology built in. The Insect Shield process, which is patent-pending, binds odourless insect repellent into fabric and helps ward off mosquitoes, flies and so on.
The brand is calling its new line Roonbug.
