High textiles earnings growth for Ten Cate

In its first half results Dutch textile and chemical materials manufacturing group Ten Cate reported sales of €511.6 million, a growth of 20% compared to last year. The company said this increase was to a large extent the result of acquisitions. Excluding acquisitions, sales increased by 8%.

The company said the market outlook for its major core markets remains favourable.

The performance of its advanced textiles & composites sector showed a high growth in sales of 48% in the first half. A major proportion of the increase in sales resulted from the acquired company Composix.
