New product with eco appeal

At the upcoming Northeast Apparel and Footwear Show on September 4 in Danvers, Massachusetts, Rogers Corporation will be introducing its new, environmentally friendly cushioning urethane foam, Poron ReGen Performance Urethane, which it says is the first of a new generation of products. The specialist materials manufacturer believes the new product will be of high interest to environmentally conscious apparel and footwear manufacturers.
The new urethanes consist of a combination of sustainable materials and recycled content but are latex and PVC free and contain no volatile organic compounds. Because the Poron products are open-cell urethanes, Rogers believes they will maintain like-new softness, flexibility and shape, as well as offering shock absorption and moisture management properties.
