Active wear label Vata Brasil has set its sights on new eastern Canadian markets. It will work with AllyKat Athletics to distribute its clothing in Ontario.

Its active apparel was designed in Vancouver by a Brazilian designer and athlete and manufactured in Rio de Janeiro. It combines comfortable, long-lasting stretch fabrics with bold colours and eye-catching designs.

Chief executive officer, Vata Brasil, Mario Gomes, said: "AllyKat gives us the feet we need on the ground in Ontario, plus the connections and relationships to put our product on the map."

Co-founder and partner, AllyKat Athletics, Kathy Kulbak, said: "The label embodies athleticism, motion and versatility with a touch of Brazilian sex appeal."
