German mountain sports supplier Vaude Sport has been added to the list of bluesign members, which means signing up to a programme that guarantees every element of its supply chain is as good as it can be. It takes into account all environment, health and safety (EHS) issues.

To become a bluesign member, companies must show a strong commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. This means looking beyond product price and performance to aspects such as consumer safety and sustainable production.

Vaude develops products for a range of activities including mountain sports, bike sports and water sports. It has approximately 1,300 employees worldwide.
