Reebok outfits teams for brand new ice hockey league

04/09/2008

Reebok Hockey and the Champions Hockey League (CHL) have signed an exclusive partnership agreement for the league’s inaugural season. Reebok Hockey will be the CHL’s exclusive outfitter and key marketing partner. Players will wear the Reebok EDGE Uniform System jerseys and socks and team staff will also be supplied with Reebok apparel for on and off-ice use.

The CHL is a new ice hockey league for the 2008-09 season. It marks the 100th anniversary of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), which is to run the league.

In its inaugural season, the league will comprise 14 club teams from seven nations (Russia, Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany). Teams will play 33 games over a 21-week period. The season begins September 12 (with the Qualifying Tournament).
