Sharapova fronts Cole Haan’s new sports line
Cole Haan, a wholly-owned Nike subsidiary, has declared Maria Sharapova lead collaborator and the face of Cole Haan Sporting, a new collection for spring 2009, which blends sport and fashion inspired by nautical, court, track, and golf activities.
The shoe and accessories collection will feature recently launched technologies such as Flywire and Nike Air.
"Maria Sharapova embodies the blend of fashion and sport that makes Cole Haan Sporting unique," says chief executive officer, James Seuss. "We created this collection as the foundation to a dynamic lifestyle weaving Cole Haan's history of craftsmanship with Nike's tradition of high-performance innovation."
Ms Sharapova, a triple Grand Slam winner, will step into the role of collaborator for the autumn 2009 season.
