Sales rise 35% at G-III Apparel

Outerwear and sportswear manufacturer G-III Apparel Group Ltd has posted positive sales figures for the three-month period ended July 31.

Net sales increased by 35% to $113.5 million compared with $83.9 million in the same period last year. Net loss was $3.9 million compared with $884,000.

For the full year ending January 31, 2009, the company expects net sales to be in the region of $730 million and for net income to be in the range of $23.5 million to $24.4 million.
