New Lowe Alpine eco range uses Nilorn tags
Outdoor clothing manufacturer, Lowe Alpine has been given the green light to use a new eco tag designed in partnership with branding and design specialist Nilorn UK.
The environmentally friendly 12.5cm x 6.5cm labels are to be used on a new range of organic cotton garments including t-shirts and trousers.
Luca Feltrin, marketing executive of Lowe Alpine, said: “It is becoming increasingly important to address environmental concerns and we have developed a range of clothing we feel does reflect this. In order to carry on the ethos we wanted to use natural hang tags. We created the artwork and Nilorn, who we have worked with for many years, produced the hangtag on canvas with water prints that do not contain any chemical components.”
The canvas tags have been produced in natural colours, brown, orange and black, and are attached with a rope tie to illustrate that the new clothing line is made from 100% organic cotton.
Managing director of Nilorn UK, Steve Ablett, said: “We are increasingly hearing about the need to be conscious of the effect our business has on the environment. We are also seeing this being outwardly displayed on branding across the apparel market with many manufacturers and retailers becoming more and more eco-aware. At Nilorn it has meant sourcing a lot more natural and environmentally friendly trims that look good and have the necessary green credentials. Rope-ties and ribbons that attach tags to the clothing labels, as well as lots of natural colours; creams, browns and beiges all add to that eco-trendy vibe.”
