Renaux Fabrics launches winter 2009 line
Almost 200 companies visited the launch of Brazil-based Renaux fabrics’ 2009 winter collection.
The event, entitled ‘The New Alchemy’ was held in Rio de Janeiro, Londrina, Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza, four important textile production chain centres in the country. Garments created by Liana Fernandes, Glória Coelho, Mário Queiroz and Reinaldo Lourenço using Renaux fabrics were presented at the launch.
Looks included plaids and minimalist, sporty designs for a fun, eclectic feel. The flagship of the launch was the Soft Raised group, a line of soft and smooth fabrics. Another highlight was a line of RNX Tech technological fabrics that are processed with moisturisers to help preserve the skin’s vitality. The technological fabrics are bacteriostatic, blocking the proliferation of colonies of bacteria to avoid undesired odours. They also remove dirt and repel oil, water and grease through the use of Teflon. Aromas are encapsulated in the fabrics to keep clothes smelling clean and the fabrics offer thermal comfort while also blocking perspiration.
