The Marathon Fresh, one of UK-based technical running socks and accessories brand Hilly’s most popular socks now contains Merino wool to offer greater foot comfort.

The cushioned sock provides shock absorption and is suitable for both training and racing. The sock is antimicrobial and incorporates several key features such as: a seamless toe construction, arch grip support and a ‘y’ heel.

The company was formed in 1992 by Dr Ron Hill, MBE, the former European and Commonwealth marathon champion, who saw a gap in the market for technical performance running socks. With a PhD, in Textile Chemistry, he was able to combine his technical expertise and running background to produce a core range to cater for the needs of the runner.
