Fabric that fights thirst
10/10/2008
Italian synthetic fibres, polymers and chemicals company Aquafil has announced that its Dryarn polypropylene microfibre product has been incorporated into a new base-layer garment for the cycling apparel market by sports textiles manufacturer Outwet.
The companies claim that the new product, Protego Active, can help wearers sweat less, feel less thirsty and maintain their body temperature by automatically releasing, on contact with the skin, special molecules that can help control these factors.
