The Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS), co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Textile Federation, took place from October 15-17.
The event focused on the concept of 'F4+1 - from Fibres to Fabrics for fashion plus Functions + Full package services'. The show has won renown for its presentation of functional and fashionable yarns and fabrics, distinguishing TITAS as one of the best platforms of total solutions for sourcing from Asia.
This year, leading domestic and international textile mills displayed their functional and fashionable products and technologies, including fibres and yarns made from bamboo charcoal, corn, metals, as well as with UV protective, moisture transferring, ice cool, quick drying and water-proof functions.
Bio-friendly materials, such as textile products made from recycled PET bottles and other innovative materials that help preserve the environment, were also on display.
In addition, there was an organic cotton area, introducing the products and services of certified companies and relevant institutes for organic cotton.
Groups from Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, mainland China and Hong Kong visited the show and there were more than 60 VIP buyers.
