Oeko-Tex can now apply to down

Independent international textile research and development institute and service provider the Hohenstein Institutes has announced that garment and material manufacturers can now apply to have feathers and down accredited under the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, just like any other component of textile end-products.
An Oeko-Tex certificate is valid for 12 months and can be renewed any number of times. Each time an application for renewal is submitted or when the composition of the material changes, new representative samples must be submitted for lab tests.
