The Institute for Ethics and Environmental Certification has awarded accreditation to the Global Organic Textile Standard to Italian textile manufacturer Piave Maitex for its use of organic cotton stretch fabrics in applications for intimate apparel.

The fabric, PM Bio, is one of several innovations that the company hopes to have on display at forthcoming intimate apparel exhibitions.
