Ecco's new golf collection

Danish footwear manufacturer Ecco has launched a new men's golf collection for spring-summer 2009. All models in the line are made using a proprietary direct-injection process for added durability and comfort.

Made from Hydromax leather, the new Ultra Performance is one of the highlights of the range. It offers stability, traction and flexibility and combines a cushioned, three-component insole unit and PU Lite wrap-around system for comfort and midsole support. It features a lightweight outsole with stability islands made from soft density flex areas and hard density traction zones. It is available in black, white and buffed silver.

The line includes 39 models including the Casual Cool II Premier and the Classic Premier. The shoes feature ultra-soft, high-grade leathers with hydrophobic treatments for superb weather-resistance and internal stabilisers to reduce torque and create ideal swing stability. Double-layer insoles are used to reduce stress on the knees, hips and back and an internal air circulation system helps to maintain a fresh, dry and cool foot environment.

According to the company, each Ecco golf shoe is touched by more than 225 sets of highly-skilled hands during production. Its shoes are worn in competition by international Tour stars including Fred Couples, Colin Montgomerie, Aaron Baddeley, Stuart Appleby, Thomas Bjorn, Arjun Atwal, Thongchai Jaidee, John Bickerton and Steven Jeppesen.
