NanoHorizons makes key textile appointment

Nanoscale antimicrobial technology provider NanoHorizons has announced the appointment of Timothy Skedzuhn to the position of vice-president of its textile business unit.

The company, a start-up from Pennsylvania State University, explained that Mr Skedzuhn has more than 20 years’ executive sales leadership experience with a recognised expertise in the application of antimicrobial solutions. Prior to joining NanoHorizons, he was director, global consumer sales, for Noble Biomaterials, a provider of antimicrobial products to the textile industry.

He has also held executive sales and marketing positions with several well known sports apparel makers and with a provider of adaptive technology, New Zealand-based Humanware Limited.

“Tim brings to his position a strong combination of technical knowledge, established customer relationships, and a deep understanding of the textile industry,” said David Woodle, chairman and chief executive of NanoHorizons. “His leadership will allow us to take our unique nanoscale antimicrobial technology and effectively tailor it to the needs of the textile market.”
