Clariant launches new textile chemicals and dyestuffs

Swiss chemicals specialist Clariant has launched various new products including dyestuffs and chemicals.

Its new dyestuffs include: Foron Black AS-3LF, a new disperse dyestuff for high light-fast applications and the successor to Foron Black AS-LF; and Foron Dark Blue S-WF, which is being introduced to cover a current colour spectrum matching gap and is to be used as a base element for dark blue and navy shades.

The company has also added three new patented dyestuffs to the Nylosan S range, all of which are suitable for polyamide and wool fibres. These are: Nylosan Orange S-3R, a metal-free, bright reddish ternary orange element; Nylosan Red S-3B, a metal-free, bluish-red ternary element; and  Nylosan Navy S-3G, a metal-free, greenish navy ternary element for use as a dark blue ternary element as well as in the production of a number of navy and black shades.

New finishing chemicals include Nuva 1919 liquid for cotton and PA-based fabrics, while new fibre finishes include: Afilan FOX, a spin finish for the spinning of polypropylene BCF (bulked continuous filament), CF (continuous filament) yarns and multifilaments; and Afilan AKT liquid, an antistatic agent with a strong anti-corrosive effect for use in the manufacturing of polyester, polypropylene, polyamide or acrylic staple fibres.
