Invista protects workers
Invista Performance Surfaces and Materials, which makes products for use in protective, military apparel, is joining forces with Texas-based Ashburn Hill Corp. to produce the “next generation” of industrial fire-retardant garments.
Invista plans to expand its industrial protective clothing offering by investing in Ashburn Hill Corp.’s patented fibre technology for industrial fire-retardant apparel applications.
“As concerns about industrial worker safety increase, a wide range of industries are requiring fire-retardant apparel in their manufacturing facilities,” said Jeff Brown, vice president of nylon performance materials at Invista.
The apparel will be used by employees that work in petrochemical manufacturing, electrical utility capacities and firefighting.
