The North Face opens new Zurich store
21/11/2008
The North Face (TNF) has opened a new retail partnership store in the Swiss city of Zurich, with a broad selection of products from the brand's autumn 2008 collection in stock.
Patrik Frisk, vice-president and general manager of TNF in Europe, commented: “In addition to serving as a natural gateway to the Alps, in the past decade Zurich has emerged as a fascinating and worthwhile travel destination in its own right. With a lively outdoor culture and an active population, Zurich embodies The North Face tenet of exploration.”
The retail store is located in the “Stocker-Haus” a house listed on Zurich’s historic register and located in the city centre, close to the main pedestrian hub. The store’s two levels will offer 295 square-metres of retail space.
“In 2008 The North Face celebrates 40 years of exploration,” explained Francesca Pozzi, the company's retail director for Europe. “The Zurich store will highlight our heritage of adventure. Together with our retail partner, Hajk Scout & Sport, we will offer customers a visually compelling, exclusive shopping experience, and serve as a natural resource for Alpine adventuring.”
The company has said more store launches in Europe are planned for the coming year.
