Icebreaker goes green and sexy
New Zealand-based Icebreaker has launched new ranges which it claims allow wearers to be green and sexy at the same time.New items in the company’s Beast and Nature underwear ranges are sustainably-produced and biodegradable.
Beast is a premium line of luxurious, performance-oriented merino underwear giving men “a chance to reconnect with their inner Beast”. Garments include high-performance briefs, boxers and t-shirts.
Nature is an eco-friendly women's underwear range in two weights: ultralite and lite. Garments include leggings, tops and camis.
“The garments made from pure merino wool sourced from the Southern Alps of New Zealand are ultra-soft, breathable and non-itchy,” says marketing manager, Deb Boswell.
“Merino is a durable, and annually-renewable, natural performance fibre, which can be thrown in the wash and hung to dry. Beast and Nature underwear offer sustainable luxury – a ‘better’ feeling than cotton.”
