Vital eco-wear to appear at ispo

Israel-based Vital eco-wear, a new player in the sportswear market, is to present its debut collection at ispo in Munich from February 1-4, 2009. The company, which designs and produces high-performance, bio-functional garments, is aiming its products at active types aged 40 and over. Its product lines include: Yoga & More; Workout & Fitness; Outdoor Action; and Winter Sports.

The company claims that most fashion and sportswear is aimed at younger consumers, leaving many energetic adults frustrated. Its clothing range not only seeks to “flatter the mature body”, it uses natural and recycled materials wherever possible. Moreover, it makes use of recent technology such as computerised body-mapping and seamless manufacturing. Fibres used in the range offer natural anti-bacterial and anti-odour benefits, enhanced ventilation and wicking, and natural UV and skin soothing properties.

Founder and CEO, Talya Hanan, said: "The fact that today's 40+'s are uniquely conscious of health issues, and staying healthier and active far longer, was my inspiration to establish Vital eco-wear.

"Designing for 40+'s doesn't mean that 20-year-olds won't also want to wear our products and look and feel good in them. It just means that the 40+ group will most definitely feel at home in them."
