MODSIMTEX project to change textile manufacturing
According to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, a new €4.6 million ($5.8 million) scheme, the MODSIMTEX (Textile Modelling and Simulation) project, will transform the textile sector and help manufacturers of high-added-value products save millions of euros a year.
The UPC’s Institute of Textile Research and Industrial Cooperation of Terrassa (INTEXTER) is leading the European research project, which will develop new technology to reduce raw material and energy costs and to save time.
