ITC to consider Sub-Saharan African textile production

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is to conduct a review to identify yarns, fabrics, and other textile and apparel inputs that can be produced competitively in beneficiary sub-Saharan African countries through new or increased investment or other measures.

ITC general fact-finding investigations, such as this one, cover issues related to tariffs or trade and are carried out at the request of the US Trade Representative, the Senate Committee on Finance, or the House Committee on Ways and Means. Upon completion of each investigation, the ITC submits its findings and analyses to whichever committee has requested it.
