London-based fashion designer Maria Grachvogel used Lectra’s dedicated design, pattern-making, and marker-making solutions to develop her spring-summer 2009 fashion collection.

The range, which was recently presented at Claridge’s, London, was developed using Lectra’s Kaledo, Modaris, and Diamino solutions.

“I believe that great design combines art and functionality, so creativity, cut and fit are all equally important in my work,” says Ms Grachvogel. “With Lectra’s solutions I know I can depend on the quality and consistency of the result. My time is freed up for reaching those exceptional levels of creativity that can only come when everything else is in place.”

Kaledo is a professional design software platform developed by Lectra’s research and development teams for fashion designers. It delivers a visual, virtual environment for creating and managing fashion collections and offers a range of design options.

Modaris is a pattern-making solution designed to make pattern creation easy, consistent and fast. It reduces the product development cycle and improves communication at each step of the process.

Diamino allows fashion professionals to speed up the marker-making process and improve material efficiency. New markers can be generated quickly using acceleration functions such as piece duplication, analogy, and substitution or addition of sizes or styles.
