Sandals that offer foot repair
03/12/2008
More and more women are suffering from osteo-arthritis when they reach the age of about 50, and the cause of this is ill fitting shoes, according to UK footwear provider Beech Sandals.
The company has designed its sandals to offer a correcting alternative to common foot problems such as bunions. Featuring built in toe separators, the design allows each toe to be placed individually and spread gently allowing the bones in the feet to straighten.
Podiatrists and other medical professionals are beginning to stock the sandals as a prevention tool and to help sufferers ease out crunched metatarsals and realign the bones in their feet, gaining agility and mobility. As little as ten minutes wear a day begins to repair the damage and improve core stability and balance, the company claims.
The sandals are available in pink, red, black, blue and white.
