EOG conservation team to have new manager

11/12/2008

A new member of staff will join the European Outdoor Group Association for Conservation early in 2009.

Since its launch in 2006 the association has grown, requiring more time to be devoted to its work and development. The addition of Tanya Bascombe in the role of manager will help with this growth and ensure a stronger profile.

Ms Bascombe has worked in the outdoor sector for a number of years for The North Face and Lowe Alpine. She is passionate about conservation within the outdoor industry and is looking forward to working with the membership to take the association to the next level. She will start to work with the association at one of its busiest periods, coinciding with the period leading up to winter ispo and the assessment of the 2009 EOG Association for Conservation projects.

The EOG Association for Conservation will have displays of the currently funded projects in Hall A6 close to the Snow, Ice and Rock Summit area at ispo Winter, which runs from February 1-4. Information about how to join the Association will also be available; membership is open to everyone working within the outdoor sector including suppliers, manufacturers, brands, publishers, sales organisations and service providers.

Also in A6, at the Bar in the Snow, Ice and Rock Summit area, visitors attending ispo will have the opportunity to make individual donations for every drink towards the EOG Association for Conservation.
