Israel-based Vital eco-wear is developing new fabrics incorporating bio-functional fibres to use in its sportswear ranges. According to the company, it is employing techniques based on nanotechnology, computerised body mapping, and seamless manufacturing.

Each its four product lines—Yoga & More, Workout & Fitness, Outdoor Action, and Winter Sports—features high-tech fabrics.

Yoga & More garments are made from eco-DEOSOFT, a super-soft fabric containing natural bamboo fibres that have anti-bacterial properties and keep the garment naturally fresh and deodorised, while micro-gaps in the fibres allow the skin to breathe.

A new Workout & Fitness fabric, eco-COMFORMANCE, consists of bamboo, micro-polypropylene and elastin, performance and comfort. The extra elastin gives the garments better stretch and control properties.

Outdoor Action garments are made from eco-AERODRY, an eco-friendly fabric based on recycled materials, using activated carbon from coconut shells. This helps to draw moisture away from the skin for quick evaporation as well as offering odour absorption and natural UV protection.

The Winter Sports garments are geared toward a more extreme form of outdoor sports. They use eco-THERMAL, a fabric consisting of BeCool polyamide, polypropylene and elastin. This offers advanced temperature regulating properties. The garments include seamlessly built-in areas of extra protection and 3D stretch.
