Teijin to present eco-friendly products at Offshore Arabia

The Teijin Group will be the only Japanese firm to participate at Offshore Arabia, which will be held in Dubai from January 11-13.

The company will present various environmentally friendly products at the event including Abaya (Arabic garment for women) and thobe (Arabic garment for men). These will be both made from polyester products such as: Super Extar, a flame-resistant polyester material containing a non-halogen, flameproof agent; and Elk, an elastic fibrous polyester material used as an alternative to traditional foamed polyurethane. The company will also introduce various environmental initiatives, such as Eco Circletm, a closed-loop system for recycling used polyester products, and water-processing technology.
