Japan to host ATC–10 symposium

This year’s ATC-10 is to be held in Japan and will be hosted by The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan, the Textile Machinery Society of Japan and the Japan Research Association for Textile End-Uses. The first day of the symposium, which runs September 7-9 will be held at Ueda Tokyu Inn, while the second and third days will be held at the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University.

Sessions on fibres and polymer materials, textile processing and properties, chemical treatments (including dyeing and finishing), technical textiles, smart fibres and materials, green materials and technology, fashion and clothing science, and managing and marketing will be held during the course of the event.

The first ATC symposium—which is held bi-annually—was first held in India (1991), followed by Korea (1993), Hong Kong (1995), Taiwan (1997), Japan  (1999), Hong Kong once again in (2001), Iran (2003), India again (2005) and Taiwan again (2007).
