K2 Sports acquires Zoot
K2 Sports has acquired performance apparel, footwear and wetsuits producer Zoot Sports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in Kona, Hawaii, in 1983, Zoot Sports specialises in triathlon race day apparel. According to the company, its new COMPRESSRx compression jerseys and tights, triathlon-specific running footwear, and performance apparel and wetsuits are the most technologically advanced products on the market.
Zoot will continue to be based in Southern California under its existing leadership team.
Commenting on the announcement, Robert Marcovitch, CEO of ski, snowboard, skate and bike firm K2 Sports said: “Zoot is a fast-growing brand whose shared dedication to innovation and quality make them a terrific fit for us and we look forward to their continued growth and expansion into new product categories and geographies.”
