ispo Winter opens in Munich

The 2009 edition of ispo Winter opened on February 1 at the Munich exhibition centre.
The organisers confirmed that the number of exhibitors is down slightly on last year.
When the doors opened, a total of 1,950 companies from 50 countries had stands displaying new sports and outdoor apparel and equipment. Just over 330 of these companies were from Germany.
Last year, the total number of exhibitors was 2,026, which means this year's number represents a drop of 3.75%.
The early mood in most of the halls was positive.
