Hohenstein Institute launches US arm
17/02/2009
Textile research and testing laboratory operator Hohenstein Institute has set up a US arm in response to a rapidly growing customer base there. Hohenstein America offices will be located in Elon, North Carolina and will provide in-country support to textile products manufacturers, sourcers, and retailers.
“Establishing Hohenstein America is an investment in our commitment to our US customers,” says Hohenstein Institute director, Dr Stefan Mecheels. “The US market drives the global textile industry. Establishing the US office is a natural extension of our worldwide network. Hohenstein America will provide US companies with personal service and easy access to Hohenstein’s full range of product development, testing and certification services.”
Hohenstein America will be led by Samuel B. Moore, a global textile industry veteran. Mr Moore will be responsible for advancing partnerships with US companies to ensure that their textile products meet performance, quality, and safety expectations. “As consumers demand more and more from their textile products, a differentiated technical sales story becomes even more critical for success in a competitive marketplace,” he said on taking up the appointment.
