Erbé takes latest high-tech linking machine to IMB
24/02/2009
French textile machinery manufacturer Erbé has announced that it will preview its latest linking machine at the IMB exhibition, which will take place in Cologne from April 21–24.
The company claims that the triple-motorised, high-tech linking machine can make a seam at a speed of 460 stitches per minute. It says this patented process is “a world-first”, turning traditional linking, which used to be a lengthy, fastidious process requiring experienced operators, into “a basic sewing operation”.
The new machine features an intelligent camera, which is used to complement the skill of the operator. This system offers time savings and ensures that textiles are defect-free. Among other key benefits, the machine is easy to use: it covers several gauges in just a few clicks and can also be operated remotely.
