Former Reebok CEO moves to Crocs

Casual footwear brand Crocs has announced that John Duerden, the former chief executive of sports brand Reebok International, will take over as its new president and chief executive on March 16, replacing Rob Snyder.
The company has said it wants to broaden its product offerings beyond the brightly coloured resin sandals for which it has become fanous and expand sales outside the US. It believes Mr Duerden, who ran Reebok from 1990 to 1995 and tripled sales to $3 billion, can help it do that.
“We are very pleased to have someone of John’s ability lead our senior management team,” said Richard Sharp, Crocs board chairman,in a statement. “His wealth of experience leading several global companies will be integral to our company’s continued evolution.”
Rob Snyder, who will remain on the Crocs board, commented: "I would like to welcome John to the Crocs management team. John brings a long track record of success in growing companies and brands in a number of different regions. His broad experience is a perfect fit for our global footprint."
