Mectex claims “eco revolution” with biodegradable synthetic fabric

Italian fabric manufacturer Mectex has announced that a new product that uses biodegradable synthetic fabric will offer apparel brands biodegradable fabrics and garments.

The new fabric has a built-in capability to convert 58% of its structure into biogas within a year and more than 75% of it within three years.

Mectex said on announcing the development that “an almost total elimination of polluting components” represents “an ecological revolution”.
