New academy to offer degrees for designers of functional clothing

A private, specialised academy with a certified two-year degree programmes for designers and developers of functional clothing will admit its first students as a pilot in February 2020. 

Young apparel designers and developers with an interest in functional solutions and sustainable clothing design in the field of outdoor, performance or sports apparel have until October 20 to put their names down for an initial admissions workshop to see how the new institution, the Bartenstein Academy, will work. Its facilities are at the Bavaria FilmPark in Grünwald, near Munich. 

Applicants for the certified two-year degree programme should already have finished an educational programme as a fashion designer or apparel engineer.
