Munster Rugby unveils new adidas kit

Irish rugby union side Munster has launched a new home shirt for the forthcoming 2009-2010 season that incorporates the latest rugby-specific technology from adidas.

The sports brand has incorporated Formotion technology, which works in conjunction with Techfit base-layer apparel to support athletes’ muscular systems and help them maintain the correct posture while running. It also feautres the brand’s ClimaCool temperature management technology.

The club’s chief executive, Garrett Fitzgerald, said at the launch: “Munster Rugby is delighted to continue its partnership with adidas, whose global brand appeal and heritage in rugby apparel is second to none. We have had great success since we joined forces with adidas and the brand brings with it all the latest kit technology, yet they have maintained a traditional look to the shirt. This continued association will ensure the squad will remain fully equipped for the demands of modern rugby.”
