Adidas transforms Shanghai art gallery into Climacool 'museum'
German sportswear brand Adidas transformed Shanghai’s Museum of Art Pudong into the ‘Climacool Future Museum’ – a marketing event showcasing its breathable technology to Chinese market.
The opening show translated “breathability” into physical expression through contemporary dance and athletic movements, featuring Chinese athletes.
Nic Galway, senior vice-president of creative direction, and Marc Makowski, senior vice-president of innovation, shared insights on product design, technical principles and how technology empowers athletes to push performance boundaries.
The Innovation Gallery included F1 pre-cooling jackets and vests, as well as the Climacool+ Singlet, incorporating a 3D embossed structure that optimises airflow in high-sweat areas and accelerates sweat evaporation.
At the end of the gallery, the event’s featured product - the Climacool Laced 3D-printed footwear series, launched in March - was displayed.
