CLASS supplies eco products for NFA fashion summit
CLASS (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) has been named official supplier of all eco-innovation fabrics, materials and products for the NFA (Nordic Fashion Association) Fashion Summit on December 9.
The summit will be held at the Copenhagen Opera House and will include a sustainable design competition featuring 20 young designers from various Nordic Countries along with a catwalk show featuring their collections. The winner will be announced during the summit.
The designers from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland have all used innovative eco-fabrics supplied by manufacturing companies that are partners of CLASS. Most of these are well-known Italian textile producers.
CLASS has also partnered with Ingeo producer NatureWorks to supply catering accessories such as dishes, glasses, cutlery, coffee cups, an eco-floor covering and eco-pens. At the end of the event, Galactic SA will collect all the Ingeo products made for and used at the event and transform the products back into the original polymer.
A number of goody bags have been made under the Cardato Regenerated CO2 Neutral project in association with the Prato Chamber of Commerce (Italy). The bags are made from recycled textiles and carbon credits are used to offset any emissions produced during the recycling process (see sportstextiles 08.09.2009).
A special exhibition of 27 fabrics will be on show at the event in three categories: Naturals and Organics, Repurposed and Recycled and Innovative Renewables.
