17/04/2014
This year’s Copenhagen Fashion Summit is to take place on the one-year anniversary of the disaster in Bangladesh at the Rana Plaza garment factory and will host a special session, ‘One year after Rana Plaza’.

The Demark-based event, the largest global event on sustainable fashion, will feature keynote speakers from luxury group Kering, Bottega Veneta and the Sustinable Apparel Coalition.

Chantal Malingrey, marketing and development director of Paris-based textile fair Première Vision, will chair a panel discussing how the industry can move towards more sustainability and responsibility, starting with fabrics and materials. Giusy Bettoni, CEO of Italy’s C.L.A.S.S, and Catarina Midby, head of sustainable fashion at H&M, will join her on the panel.

Summit patron Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will open proceedings on April 24.
