Knitwear design company Dale of Norway has expanded its sport range collection to include garments for all layers using the finest natural and technical fibres. The company says that comfort and the integration of old and new knitwear technologies are combined into a collection that is “both stylish and functional”.
There are new styles in baselayer, midlayer and outerwear using natural fibres such as merino wool and knitwear technologies such as Dale’s new Comfort Technique and Knitshell.
The baselayer line comes in two weights, 180 grammes and 200 grammes, of fine merino wool. Naturally wicking and odour reducing, the baselayers come in short, long and zip neck styles for both men and women, with leggings also available in the 200. The 180, new for the coming season, is a single jersey knit with a decorative knit print down the sleeves in the both the men’s and women’s styles. The 200 is made with a ribbed fabric for maximum stretch and comfort with contour stitching.
With the midlayer, Dale introduces a new knitwear technology called Comfort Technique, in which two completely separate fabrics are knit and bound together automatically with yarn. It is available in two styles, a hoody and a full zip jacket.
For colder days, Dale, combines a water, soil and stain resistant woolen yarn on the outside of the knit with a soft fine merino yarn on the inside to produce a range the company has called Midlayer Supreme. It is offered in a full zip jacket with a side and arm decorative pattern, full zip pockets and the Dale arm and chest logo.
The outerwear line features Dale’s exclusive Knitshell technology, which was developed in collaboration with Windstopper by Gore. Knitshell is a 3-ply laminate construction of Dale’s proprietary waterproof, soil and stain resistant wool yarn, a soft Windstopper membrane and a fleece liner. New jacket styles are offered for the coming season with a casual, street design and technical jackets suited for the slopes.
