Rossignol targets apparel market with Dale of Norway acquisition
French ski brand Rossignol announced at the end of December that it had entered into a binding agreement to acquire knitwear design company Dale of Norway.

Rossignol explained that the companies have decided to join forces in order to “strengthen their growth on the international apparel market.”

Dale of Norway designs and manufactures a range of knitted garments and accessories, which are distributed directly or via its global distributions agents in over 25 countries. It has been the exclusive supplier of official knitwear to the Norwegian National Ski and Winter Olympic Teams since 1956.

“Knitwear is an integral part of our Rossignol apparel line-up, and the addition of Dale is highly complementary,” explained Rossignol CEO Bruno Cercley. “We see great potential in supporting and strengthening Dale in its international expansion, leveraging on both companies’ strong connection with winter resorts and retailers across the world, offering to our customers and consumers a complementary portfolio of apparel and equipment.”
