Dates for GOTS symposium announced

The event, organised by Organic Textile Services and Alnatura Produktions- und Handels, with the support of the IMO (Institute for Marketecology) will take place at the Schloss Wartensee, Rorschacherberg, near Lake Constance. The seminar will be called ‘GOTS for Newcomers and Professionals’.
According to organisers, despite the growing recognition of GOTS (the Global Organic Textile Standard), it can be a complicated certification procedure, particularly in terms of correct labelling and keeping up to date with different standards and labels.
As well as explaining the basic details, the symposium will offer advanced information about organic textiles for producers, traders and service providers across the textile industry. Along with an overview of the organic textile market, there will also be discussions on economic value and the certification of organic textiles as well as topics covering marketing strategies, social responsibility and ethical fashion and design.
