GOTS outlines first international conference

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is hosting its first international conference, scheduled for Mumbai on May 22.

GOTS is processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres, defining environmental criteria along the supply chain. It also requires compliance with social criteria.

India is the world leader in organic textile processing and the conference “will help to develop successful partnerships” said organisers.
