Nordisk launches organic cotton tent range
Danish outdoor brand Nordisk says
it is the first manufacturer to offer tents made from 100% organic cotton with GOTS
certification.
It has also added several new
styles to its Cotton Range. The Vanaheim, Utgard, Asgard, Alfheim and Jotunheim
models are designed to evoke the fantasy worlds of Scandinavian mythology
combined with modern, state-of-the-art technology.
The Vanaheim is a spacious
tent that comes in two sizes. The smaller version has a footprint of 24 square-metres
and dimensions of 600 x 400 x 300 cm, offering space for 16 people, while the
larger tent offers 40 square metres and is 800 x 495 x 300 cm in size, easily
fitting 20 people. Optional inner tents divide the interior into up to four individual
compartments and the roof vents and arched windows come with easy-open zips to
keep the interior cool.
Because the organic cotton is
breathable, it prevents heat build-up inside the tent even at high temperatures,
and allows only a limited penetration of ultra-violet rays. When it rains, the fibres
absorb water and swell to provide waterproof protection for the interior.
