Wigwam introduces antimicrobial sock line
US-based sock producer Wigwam is to use SmartSilver antimicrobial additives, developed and produced by NanoHorizons, for several new products in its line.
The company’s SmartSilver collection includes socks for sport, outdoor and snowsport applications. In sport, the Silver Wool Runner and the Silver Wool Runner Lite are designed to help trail runners’ feet feel fresh and odour free. In outdoor, Wigwam has launched the Silver Wool Walker, a new lightweight sock with odour control, soft Merino wool and a cushioned sole, as well as the Minus 40º C Silver, a cold weather boot sock made from 100% wool yarn for warmth and incorporating the benefits of SmartSilver.
For snowsports, the Snow Silver Ski is the “absolute best ski sock in the industry for those who prefer Merino wool and odour-free feet,” according to the company. The Snow Silver Lite is available for those who need a more lightweight design.
