Wigwam removes stitching for a contoured knit running sock
21/11/2019
This is a change from the conventional design of socks, which the company characterises as being knit with a consistent level of stitching throughout and using elastic fibres to accommodate the foot's changing shape. These socks remove much of that stitching.
This includes eliminating conventional stitching nearly everywhere in the sock, including 10-20% of stitching near the top and 75% in the arch.
Designed with runners in mind, the minimised stitching is said to allow the sock to better hug the foot and cradle the arch while leaving room in the toe box. The SynchroKnit line will debut early December at The Running Event trade show in Austin, Texas.
