New d3o products at ispo
New products containing d3o technology will be on show at ispo (Muncich, February 7-10). The technology is now being used in 18 new products from six brands: Marmot, Scott, Nidecker, Envy, Chanex and Booster.
Among these new products are two completely new applications for d3o: back-protectors from Scott and from Booster and snowboard bindings made by Nidecker.
According to the company, its lab has altered the design of its pads for knees, elbows and shoulders by making them 3D so they conform better to the wearer’s body shape and are able to fit almost invisibly into outerwear or baselayers. Its T5 pads are very thin and flexible, tapering out to the edges so they can be integrated seamlessly. The aim is to maximise comfort while still keeping the wearer protected. The pads are also certified to the EN1621-1 standard, which is the standard for motorcycle protectors.
New products containing d3o launching for autumn 2010/11 include Marmot’s Edge pants, the Scott d3o Back Protector, the Chanex Antiserum d3o Men’s Jacket, the Groomer d3o Men’s Jacket, the Booster d3o Protector Vest, Nidecker Fusion & Campus bindings, Burton Base Layer Shorts and Total Impact Shorts; and Spyder Power Stealth top and shorts.
