ispo Awards 2010 winners named

The winners of the various categories of the ispo Awards for 2010 have been announced.
In the European Ski Awards category, with prizes for hardware, ski boots, Nordic equipment and a special prize, with the winners this year, respectively, being Austrian company Blizzard for its IQ Power Full Suspension shock absorption technology, Tecnica for the Phoenix 100 Air Shell, Fischer for the RCS Carbon light skating boot and Völkl for the Racetiger RC PSi
ski adjustment technology.
The winners of ispo Eco Responsibility Awards are in five categories.
Völkl took the prize in the Hardware Ski category for the Amaruq eco. Atomic picked up the Snowboard award for its Poacher Premium Renu. In the Accessories section, Edelrid, part of Vaude, won for a new climbing rope called Kite. Pyua took one of two Textile awards for the Climate 2L Padded Man Jacket and Pants, which uses Sympatex membrane technology, while Patagonia picked up the other for its R3 HiLoft Hoody, made almost entirely of recycled and recyclable Polartec materials.
Finally, in the Fabrics and Fibres category, the winner was Lenzing for Tencel.
